Distribution, Logistics and Channel Management
No one can ignore the importance of distribution channel and its related logistics as that determines whether the product is available to the customer or not in its desirable state. As this chain is cumulative in nature and has a lot of sub-portions included, the manager needs to be careful enough to handle the same. The major credentials which need to be emphasized upon are nature of the channel, need of the logistics supply, evaluation of the customer needs, searching for an alternative channel and much more. The students will be taught the key elements of the chain in such a way that they will reciprocate their ideas on how to improve or modify the flow resulting in a smooth operation and happy customer. The members who are involved in the distribution logistics and channel management should be taken care of in a proper manner and all of this will be covered along with other vital concepts with this course.
The Course will be taught by a Professor who has taught this course for more than 25 years in 5 IIMs, XLRI and XIM-B.
The course introduces the student to different facets of the Sales and Distribution landscape in the country. The overview will cover the different channels of distribution and the key variables to be managed so as to ensure a robust sales and distribution network.
